I’ll can confirm:

I was at 8,000 ft

I was heading westbound

I was doing 140 KIAS

  1. you were supposed to land at Monett and were busy blogging and overflew the airport at 8000 ft.....and NORAD scrambled 2 F16's to intercept before you acknowledged ATC instructions to "ident" OR..it was very windy ..... or ...

  2. I hope that 8000 ft was GL based on your IAS.

  3. Here's the answer - The "red" light just above the altitude selector (bottom left hand corner) is the vacuum pump failure indicator. On my F33A, the artificial horizon is vacuum driven. I had to cover the instrument using a scrap piece of paper and a stick of chewing gum.
